Welcome to School Admissions Online
I am already registered and want to log in.
Before you begin...you will need:
- Any information you have been given about applying for a school place
- Your child’s full address (including postcode)
- Your child’s date of birth
- Approx 15-20 minutes to complete the application (but you can save and come back to it later)
- For security, the website will timeout if you login and do not use it
- Do not use the Browser's Back button; use the Back button on each page
Welcome to Essex Online Admissions
Please note the Online Admissions system is now closed for secondary (Year 7 applications) for September 2014, and primary (Reception applications) for September 2014 onwards.
If you have not already applied, then to make an application you must now complete a paper application form which can be downloaded via www.essex.gov.uk/admissions and either posted or returned by scanning and emailing the form.
The Online Admissions system cannot be used for mid-year applications. Please visit www.essex.gov.uk/admissions for more details.
Making your application for schools
We strongly recommend you use all your preferences to give yourself maximum opportunity to be considered for a place at a school you want. You can apply for 6 schools for secondary applications and for primary applications you can apply for 4 schools.
We also recommend that you list your local catchment (priority admission area) school, if you have one, as one of your preferences to help avoid a situation where you might be offered a place at a school several miles from your home. However, applying for your local school does not guarantee that an offer of a place will be made. An online catchment area finder is available via www.essex.gov.uk/admissions.
Please note: A child's home is the permanent address at which he or she lives and is ordinarily resident. This is generally the address of the parent/carer. Where a child spends time with more than one parent the place of residence of the parent/carer who receives the Child Benefit for the child is deemed to be the child's home. It is vital the correct home address details are given when you apply, as any place offered on the basis of false information may be withdrawn.
If you move during the application period (that is any time after you have made your application and before offers are made) you MUST let School Admissions know by email or by post. Please do not just change your address online once you have submitted your application without letting us know by email or letter as well.
